to do and we chose this case. It's Monday, July 23, 2018 in the city of Opelika, Alabama. It would be the home where 28 year old gender fluid black phenomenon Coin star Fraser, also known as Ruth Travius, would reside. And on that Monday, Ruth Travius, who also resided in Auburn, Alabama, adjacent to Opelika, not too far from the capital Montgomery, my hometown. Bruce Travis was there at around 7:48pm Central Standard Time. Gunshots rung out and Bruce Travis was fighting for his life. His friend, 28 year old Latoya Robinson, by the grace of God, ducked down. And when I tell you my audience, this has been something so gripping, something so jaw dropping that it left the city of Opelika. Demanding for justice. I want to welcome you all to Season seven Episode two, the Murder of Bruce Travis Coinstar Fraser the Drive By Murder We're Gonna get justice for Bruce Travious Corn Star in this episode by saying their name. 28 year old black gender fluid Bruce Travious Cornstar Frazier, beloved by their family and friends, thriving and successful, Is out and about with their friends around 7:40pm 7:35pm Central Standard Time. And Corn Star had been circling the block almost in a drive by method, but circling the block in a way that 18 year old black cisgendered male, Gregory Jaquan Todd located in Columbus Georgia. He responded. He stated that he had came across Coinstar a few times. However, on that Monday evening he had enough as porn stars circling the area, an area that she they had frequent so many times. Gregory Jaquan Todd was upset, felt his masculinity threatened. So he gets into a verbal argument with Corn Star and when he does, He takes out his gun. And again he's 18 year old black cisgender male. He takes out his gun, a 9 millimeter Glock and fires fourteen 9 millimeter shell casings as Corn Star and their best friend, 28 year old Black cisgender female Latortia Robinson. As the gunshots are wailing, all 14 of them, one of them strikes Cornstar in the head, killing them instantly. I misspoke. Not instantly. It rendered them unable to drive instantly. Latoya was able to grab the wheel while ducking and ultimately get out and call 911 which is when Opelika police department as well as other law enforcement agents circled and made their way. Multiple calls, a shot fired. Detectives arrived at the intersection where Cornstar's car was parked on the side of the road. They was inside of the driver's seat, bloody and unresponsive. Again, that gunshot wound had been to the head. And Cornstar was not able to provide any type of response as to what happened. But there were eyewitnesses who saw the individual flee on foot going into the apartment complex. And they were quickly able to identify the suspect as 18 year old black cisgender male Gregory Jaquan Todd. Corn Star is rushed to hospital in Columbus Georgia and it's placed in a coma, medically induced to make sure that the swelling in the brain could go down and hopefully they would wake up. But in the meantime, detectives are getting CCTV footage. They are going around canvassing the area asking questions. Who killed Corn Star? Someone gave the name 18 year old Gregory Jaquan Todd. This is the individual who was responsible for having Corn Star in that medically induced coma which will ultimately lead to their hateful homicide. Two days later on Wednesday July 25th of 2020 18. Detectives roger fitzgerald. And Detective Florencia St. John are getting CCTV footage, grabbing forensic clues from the car, as well as taking witness statements, while other officers and investigators are going around canvassing and surveilling for additional evidence and talking to other witnesses. Corn Star was beloved. And so to know that Corn Star is now in a coma, which would ultimately lead to their hateful homicide, has the city of Opal, like in that specific community where the shooting took place, outraged. And they want justice, my audience, they want justice for Corn Star. And that's the beauty of my beloved Alabama. You know, I think I shared with you all that they have a tendency of just showing up for you and loving on you. Yes, you know the Alabama brawl and you know what the community has been through regarding racism and other types of isms. But in my gender journey, my classmates got me a date for prom as a transition back in 2008. They voted me most friendly. I've been included on those reunion committee so much more. So when I tell you that the love is there, the sincerity is there. My audience in Alabama, there's good people there. And Corn Star was met with that same type of love from their family. They wore nice cornrows all the way down their back in different styles. And it was so beautiful and graceful and just very beloved and liked. And so when community members saw porn star in that area, it was nothing new. 18 year old black sister Jamel Gregory Todd, as he's located within a matter of time and is interviewed by detectives Fitzgerald and St. John as to what happened. He ultimately wanted to discuss the fact that he had themed Cornstarch Star multiple times and that Corn Star always gave him this look and it bothered him. He didn't like it. That's why that day as Kornstar was circling the block, just saying hey to people, just chilling, waiting on people, just doing their thing with their bestie. It was no, no other Monday, but yet Jaquan was so upset. Juan was so upset at Corn Star for looking at him. And because Quan knew that Cornstar was gender fluid and gender expressive socially in so many ways, he was bothered by that. And after this fifth encounter, he had enough yells out. This is what he's telling Detective Fitzgerald and St. John. What you looking at? I don't want you. And Coin Star circles back and was like, I wasn't looking at you. I'm not trying to talk to you. And if you have this verbal exchange for a moment, and this is also as well as from witness who was in the car? Best friend, 28 year old black cisgender female, Latoria Shaw Robinson. No relation to me, But, or not that I know of you all. But she shares that with detectives St. John and Fitzgerald. She wants to know, you know, will there be justice for her best friend? And so she's sharing all the information that she can with the detective. In the meantime, Cornstar is put into a medically induced coma. And it's heartbreaking, it's heart aching, it's grippy. The family all arrive. Cornstarch's parents and siblings and best friends are all there at Cornstar's bedside in Columbus, Georgia. They're devastated and they want justice for their baby. And that's exactly what detectives read. Excuse me. Detective Fitzgerald and St. John plan to do. They get that confession, but at the same time, Juan ultimately asks for a lawyer and it's placed into the county jail. Rob Ruth Travis, Corn Star Frazier, the incredible 28 year old black gender fluid individual was born December 14, 1989 in Auburn, Alabama to beloved parents and siblings. And Corn Star, as they would be nicknamed, was beloved and adorned and was met with so much positivity and being themselves. They were known for doing hair and cosmetology. Cornstar's mom talked about just how from the moment she gave birth and she knew that Cornstar was going to be someone creative and unique and always keeping her on her toes. That's exactly what he did, that's exactly what they did. She did. Again, being gender fluid, pronouns are so fluid and intersensual and that's who Corn Star was. Go with the flow from the Cornrows to just going with the flow. And it allowed this sense of, you know, young, wild and free and allowed Corn Star's confidence to exude to her family. And they had confidence in Cornstar and loved on them and supported them throughout their journey socially and even medically, if so chosen. So when they got the news that their child had been shot and found bloody and unresponsive in the driver's seat of their car, they immediately huddled and raced over to the medical hospital in Columbus, Georgia. As the investigation is ongoing, interrogations and interviews are being conducted and the families rushing and racing over to Cornstarch's bedside. It's important to understand that In July of 2018, Corn Star was looking forward to celebrating their upcoming birthday, where they would have turned 29 as well as the holidays. And all of that was erased so abruptly so quickly when they were shot over 14 times in their car for just Driving around and being themselves and being amazing and loud and proud. And that bothered an 18 year old individual who had a gun, a 9 millimeter Glock and had 14 pacing shell casing inside of that gun and not only unleashed it on Cornstar, but their best friend. Detectives Fitzgerald and St. John want to know did you know that there was another individual in the and Gregory Jaquan Todd admits yeah he did. He knew that Latoya Robinson was in the car with Coinstar and did not care as well as did not care if the bullets hit the residents who lived in that area. This is how carefree and wild this 18 year old was and was determined to end Corn Star's life. And he would get his wish

the investigation is ongoing from the evening of July 23rd until that Tuesday of July 24th. As well as working around the clock, US Marshals and so many others are gathering evidence, gathering, getting with other individuals who was helping in a way because when Jaquan 1 ran off into the complex, he did go hiding for a moment. So all of this is happening simultaneously but ultimately on Wednesday, July 25, 5th, 2018, 28 year old black, gender fluid and genderqueer Bruce Travis Corn Star Frazier succumbed to their injuries and the medically induced coma was to little to no vein and they passed away. The community was outraged. Opelika, Auburn, GA this was a national tragedy. Not only could the state of Alabama, but the state of Georgia but also the world could not believe that an individual who was, you know, so full of life and passion and beloved for just being themselves and always lifting others up in a beautiful cosmic Scientologists and social media, you know Star to just be gunned down, shot over 14 times in their car with their best friend and bullets going throughout their bodies and ultimately their head and then they're placing a medically induced coma brain. The world is praying that Cornstarch gets better and to know availability. Corn Star went on that Wednesday and this official became a hateful homicide. And as the investigation continued, Juan was notified that not only would they be charged with he would be charged with first degree murder, but he would also be charged with attempted murder for Latoya Robinson. And he would ultimately want to go to trial cuz he would plead not guilty saying that he felt threatened that Corn Star was approaching him circling the blog. He felt like it was a drive by and the exchange and the fact that Corn Star allegedly pulled over for a moment and made a motion. What was he to do? He shot and ran or should I say shot 14 times and then ran. He said it was two against one. Corn Star and Tasha. How was he supposed to know? He thought he was shooting up in the air to scare them. He didn't know he hit anyone, so he didn't think it was first degree murder. And as all of this is ensuing prosecutors and as well as the fact that Juan would get a public defender and ultimately an attorney as his family was supporting him. It was a divided community but majority was in favor of Corn Star. And as we continue to go through this case, my audience, I want to share a couple of different takes from you with not only the show Murder Tapes which I am a huge fan of, but also the podcast Saul or A Homicidal Tea with Renee B. Who also provides their own intake on the hateful homicide of Bruce Travis porn star Frazier, an incredible 28 year old gender fluid genderqueer individual who was gunned down in Opelika, Alabama at 7:48pm Central Standard Time and was ultimately succumb to their injuries and be met with a hateful homicide on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

Welcome back, my audience. That was Rainy Fee from Homicidal Tease and providing their own intake and insight into the hateful homicide of 28 year old, black, gender fluid, genderqueer, incredible individual, Bruce Travious, Porn star Frazier, who was gunned down and met with a hateful homicide on that Monday, July 23, 2018, After Cornstarch officially confirmed they've been met with a hateful homicide, investigators as well as prosecutors are considering the death penalty as this is the state of Alabama and this crime was so vicious, so unprovoked, so heinous. And as you witness with Rainey B, several of those 14 shell casings went into the residence of others homes with children, meaning you had no remorse. And the fact that you so coldly and callously walked off as this is witness on CCTV footage so calmly this case did merit the death penalty. And advocates for Cornstar was out there protesting over and over and over again saying their name. Cornstar also had an incredible partner who they dated on and off for a few years named Patrick. And Patrick spoke fondly about their connection and them spending time together and how he really appreciated the way like Coinstar taught him how to just be comfortable in your own skin. And Corn Star's mom and dad and siblings would also share those same sentiments as well as other. For instance, again, even Rainy B and the homicidal team mentioned just gregarious, full of life. And that personality trait allowed Corn Star to just continue to be affectionately loved and spoken so highly of. And so there was not only a vigil as well as a fundraiser raised in Corn Star's name, but investigation discovery, murder tapes would reach out to the Opelika Police department and connect with detectives Fitzgerald and Detective St. John regarding the hateful homicide of Corn star Frasier. Incredible 28 year old, black, gender fluid individual who was just living their best lives on a Monday, just taking it with their bestie, driving around, going to the Candyman, going to the store, saying hey to people they knew because Auburn and Opaliker are literally like 10, 10 minutes apart and like maybe about 20, 30 minutes on the freeway from Montgomery, Alabama. You all just stand from there. And so Cool City is also the home of Auburn University, which is Auburn Tigers. And so of course naturally Corn Star was a huge fan of War Eagle of Auburn Tigers. War Eagle. And so was my late mommy. And so again there's this kindredness there with Corn Star. We were both like literally born 29 days apart. They were born December 14, 1989. I was born January 13, 1990. So there's this sense of like, oh my goodness, like our lives were so parallel and so intrinsic and having supportive families as my mommy, my family, she rest in peace, was super supportive. And so that's why there was a visual held and then also so many other things to say. Corn Star's name As well as raising money for their burial. And a week later, on July, excuse me, August 2nd of 2018, Corn Star was laid to rest. A burial was held. This was three days after the vigil at the Opelika Park. Our community members, law enforcement, politicians all came out to say Cornstarch stars name LGBTQ activists and so many others share just the proudness. As we continue to go through this case, my audience, it's important to understand that this drive by murder is from the perspective of 18 year old black cisgender male Gregory Jaquan Todd, also known as Quan. According to him, as he stated in his not only interrogation with Detectives Fitzgerald and Detective St. John, but also when he would ultimately go to trial sometime later and we'll get to that later on, but he would still share the same sentiment of feeling like it was a drive by that because porn star, who was known for circling the blog multiple times, but because in his 18 year old mind he felt threatened, he was worried. And when he had an exchange, even though best friend Latoria Robinson said there was no, you know, irate conversations being had, but from his perspective, Corn Star was threatening him, wanting to be with him, trying to lure him into the car. All these things that he had conjured up in his fear that propelled him to fire out 149 millimeter shots throughout the opalike complex where 20 year old gender fluid Bruce Travis would be hit in the head just once. And then was the computer. Their injuries two days later and laid to rest a week later thanks to the fundraising. This not only led to Corn Star being laid to rest, but also scholarship in their name. As we continue to go through this case, it's important to get a little bit more context into just that day of the shooting which will lead to the hateful homicide. Corn Star Frasier, this is very important.

And that was an excerpt from Investigations Discoveries Murder Tapes. And they did such a great job covering the case and really getting that information. And you can hear from Corn Star's mom and Corn Star's sister the love and support that they had. And it's so beautiful to see. It's so beautiful to witness my audience and as we continue to go through this case and prepare to conclude, it's also important to understand that. Corn Star was beloved. This shooting, as you can, as we witnessed in the the audio, they knew porn star's name, they knew Bruce Travis's name and they said his name, they said their name, they said her name. And so it's important for us to make sure that. For us to talk about. The trial. After the death penalty had been put on the table, Gregory Jaquan Todd would eventually plead guilty to first degree murder and attempted murder and would receive consecutive sentences of 30 years and 25 years. The trial was concluded on December 12, 22nd, 2020, and Frazier's family says it was the best holiday news they could receive in the midst of the pandemic. Then aunt 20 year old Gregory Jaquan Todd was also sentenced to a concurrent 20 years for additional offenses. He's currently incarcerated at the Easterling Correctional facility in Clio, Alabama and is possibly a parole in September of 2033. Oh, my audience. This cave has been one for the books. It definitely captures the heart of the community. Heartbreaking. It's heart aching. And as we slowly prepare to conclude, I want to just share one more time with you just a little bit more about Corn Star's hateful homicide and why it's important for us to make sure that when we see something, we say something. And if it wasn't for all those multiple phone calls and multiple witnesses and the CCTV footage and law enforcement and U.S. marshals and everyone working to bring this individual in, who had fled all the way to Camp Hill, Alabama before being brought in to detectives Fitzgerald and St. John, but ultimately brought in and spoke his truth about this drive by murder. In his mind, his twisted mind, he

people would actually believe that Corn Star was there to do a drive by. From the testimony of all of those involved, law enforcement witnesses, survivor Latasha Robinson, the jig was up.

We experienced my audience, the testimony from Latosha Robinson regarding her account as well as some of the interrogation from Detective Fitzgerald and Detective St. John. We know that Gregory Jaquan Ty, now 26, can no longer hurt anyone else and commit any more hateful homicides. So in conclusion, we remember you corn star, our beautiful Bruce Travis. Bruce Cornstar Frasier. We remember you yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever and always. Born December 14, 1989 and resting on since July 21st 5th of 2018. We will forever say your name, my sibling.
